AFC URGENT CARE in New Bedford, MA is outstanding! Dr. Steinbach, Mark Richard, NP are awesome and are truly concerned about your well being! Their team is also amazing! My family and I have been there several times due to the awful cold season this year and we have been going here since there grand opening. Thank goodness for their late and weekend hours. Thank you kindly everyone at AFC if New Bedford for your hard work and dedication to our family and to all of your clients!
Fast service. everybody was very helpful from the secretary,to the the nurses and the doctor. professional ,and clean, of course the way it should be or the decades I've learned they all have a lot of schooling and knowledge yet still they all have their own opinion but the most important to me after that is the bedside manner. They all had great attitudes, I was comfortable to be there
I came in for an issue with my finger that I’ve had once in the past. I have a habit of biting my finger nails and got a small infection on the side of my finger nail. The last doctor I saw for this issue just cleaned it out and I was on my way no questions asked. He even told me that it was incredibly common to have this problem. The woman I saw today looked at me with the purest look of disgust like I was vile because I bite my fingernails out of nervous habit. I have anxiety depression issues and it’s a habit. She told me that the mouth is a very bacterial place, as if I don’t know this already. She claims she saw no infected pocket to clean out but she’s lying and just didn’t want to clean it. My finger looks exactly as it did a year ago when I had the problem before and it was an easy in and out! I was actually surprised at how simple it was to fix last time. This woman prescribed me antibiotics for a small tiny finger infection. I will not waste my money on antibiotics when I don’t need it. I hate pill pushing doctors. I would not have even bothered to waste my money on a visit to this place had I known this would be the outcome. If I get any further bills for this visit, I refuse to pay it.
Try to hide your emotions more and not make patients feel disgusting when they already have self confidence issues. Maybe you should stop kissing people because remember, the mouth is a disgusting place...... I will not be back because I don’t want to see this woman again.
Went today for the first time, and everyone was great! They got me in and out quickly and did their best to diagnose the issue quickly and accurately. I saw Jen (Jenn? Not sure of the spelling lol) and she was absolutely fantastic! I would highly recommend to any friends or family as a great alternative to either waiting for a primary care doctor or going to the ER!!
I’ve been to this location many times in the past and have been overly impressed by the level of service. Having said that, I was not pleased with my visit today at ALL! The only reason I don’t give a 1 Star is because the front desk staff is so kind.
I found this walk in to be clean, professional, and courteous. My only suggestion would be to cut down on the wait time. I waited approximately 1.5 hours to be seen. Also I would prefer that my prescription could be faxed over to my pharmacy rather than prolonging my wait time. When one is sick they just want their medicine and to go home.
